Inspired by a hike which ended with a view of a spectacular waterfall, Cascades Falls is the perfect warm and cosy cardigan for walks in the woods on a chilly day. This pattern was originally created (and photographed) in Sweet Georgia’s Trinity Worsted. A very similar yarn is Sweet Georgia Superwash Worsted, a pure superwash merino wool transformed into gorgeous yarn with a fantastic depth of colour, and available in exquisite shades for you to choose from. Designed by Amanda Scheuzger, Cascade Falls is a longer length stocking stitch cardigan with an extra thick, reversible cabled collar for added cosiness. Worked in the round from the bottom up in one piece, then dividing for knitting the back and fronts separately. The sleeves are knitted in the round from the top down from stitches picked up around the arms. The cable is worked at the same time as the body, extended at the top, then sewn to the back neck. Suitable for an intermediate knitter. To fit a wide range of sizes from 28½" – 51½", and when complete Cascade Falls will measure approximately 30 – 54¼” (76 – 137cm) at the bust. To complete Cascade Falls you will need 4.5 and 5.0mm (US7 and US8) double pointed needles (DPNs) and a 5.0mm (US8) 32” (80cm) circular knitting needle. You will also need a cable needle.
