Created using the variegated Sirdar Cotton Prints DK and the solid shades of Sirdar Cotton DK, both beautiful mercerised cotton which has a lustrous appearance and fantastic stitch definition.
The top is a simple shape, with garter stitch bands, so there is nothing to distract from the beautiful overall feather and fan stitch, which also produces the delicate scalloped edging.
If you haven’t tried lace stitches before, then feather and fan is an ideal introduction as it always looks so much more complicated than it actually is.
Instructions are to fit a wide range of bust sizes from 32/34 to 52/54” (81/86 to 132/137cm)
To complete your top you will need 3.25 and 4mm (US3 and US6) knitting needles. You will also require stitch holders.
