Wrap once around your shoulders as a luxurious and elegant stole, or wrap twice around your neck for the softest and most gorgeous cowl. Created using Blue Sky Extra, a luxurious blend of baby alpaca and fine merino wool which is lightly spun to be soft and springy. Designed by Robin Melanson, the North Hollow Cowl is knitted in two mirrored pieces in a sophisticated combination of cable and lace stitches. The pieces are then joined at the wider end, and the narrower end fastens with buttons. Suitable for an intermediate knitter, the instructions are written and charted. When complete, your North Hollow Cowl will measure approximately 35 x 8" (89 x 20cm) and you will need 5.5mm (US9) knitting needles plus a spare needle (for the three-needle bind-off used for joining the pieces together). You will also need stitch markers, stitch holder, cable needle, and 3 buttons.
